…Because sometimes, like during our nighttime shows, you’ve gotta get complicated to keep things simple (and safe)…
1. UNDERAGE CHARGE:
FACT: If you’re under 21, expect to pay $2 more to enter one of our shows. For example, a FREE show is actually $2 if you’re under 21. A show that’s $5 will cost an under-ager $7.
2. EXPECT TO PAY COVER CHARGE:
FACT: If you’re in the Cantina about 45 minutes before a show that has a cover charge begins, our door person will be going around collecting a cover charge for the band(s), and they’ll mark your hand for you. If you don’t plan on staying for the show, once the music starts, you won’t be served any more beverages and you’ll be asked to leave.
REASON: The money we get for the cover goes directly to the bands. SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC!
3. 1 STAMP=1 DRINK:
FACT: Yup! If you’re 21, you get one stamp on your hand at the door. That means you can get one drink per visit to our bar. If you want 2 or 3 drinks, bring your 2 or 3 friends (and their stamps) with you!
REASON: We don’t want our liquor license revoked because you want to get your underage friends a beer. Then how would we serve those people when they actually do turn 21?
4. NO OUTSIDE DRINKS:
FACT: You are definitely not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into our establishment.
REASON: First of all, we offer 8 rotating taps of all-Ohio beers. Second of all, we have nearly 80 types of bottled beers. Third of all, we have a huge, full-service bar with all the liquor and mixers you could ever hope for and our bartenders make a mean drink! If you’d rather support the corner store where you get your beer, then do that, just don’t bring it here. Plus, it’s ILLEGAL. We don’t want you to get arrested! Nor do we want to pay a fine.
5. LARGE BAGS MAY BE CHECKED:
FACT: We reserve the right to check your bag at the door. If we find any contraband, you’ll be asked to dispose of it or leave.
REASON: We don’t want you to bring in things like outside drinks and firearms, which are prohibited in our establishment. We don’t routinely check bags, but especially on busy nights where there are likely to be a lot of under-agers, it is a possibility.
6. LEAVE AT YOUR OWN RISK:
FACT: If you leave the building for any reason (smoking, talking on the phone, meeting a friend, etc.), and we are at our limit on capacity of people, you’ll have to wait in line to get back in. At that point, one person leaving means one person getting in.
REASON: When we’re at capacity, we are not legally allowed to have any more people in the building. That’s a fire code violation and a safety issue. We want to keep people safe and we don’t want to be fined.
