Casa Nueva is proud to participate in the global efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle everything we can. We recycle plastic, paper, newsprint, cardboard, clear and brown glass, aluminum and steel. Green glass, which is not recyclable in Athens County, is gratefully taken by Sheri Wilson, to be recycled into furniture. All of our kitchens and prep areas are outfitted with composting buckets that hold fruit and vegetable waste. Dedicated community members who wish to add to their own compost piles at home remove the buckets daily, thereby continuing the process of growth and giving back to the earth.
